Member of ‘Los Polufos’ dies in shooting with the police in Petare

Johnny Alexander Coronel Borges, alleged member of the band «Los Pitufos» involved in the murder of a 17 -year -old teenager, died Monday during an armed confrontation with security forces in Petare, Caracas.

Douglas Rico, director of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (CICPC), reported on the operation. Detectives of the Homicide Research Division followed the track of Colonel, who was hidden in the first grill sector. During the operation, the agents seized a .38 caliber revolver, allegedly used by Colonel during the shooting. The firearm was placed to the order of the Public Ministry, which will continue with the investigations.

Colonel would be involved in the murder of the adolescent Samantha Ramírez, whose body was found in the thousand at the end of November with multiple bullet impacts.

The suspect had a history of the crime of illicit possession of narcotic substances and was part of the dangerous band «Los Pitufos», which operates in the Julián Blanco and the grill sectors.
