Prosecutor’s Office asks the USA. Cooperation to extradite Juan Guaidó and Carlos Vecchio

The attorney general, Tarek William Saab, said at a press conference that proposed to the United States a «cooperation» with the American government to extradite opponents Juan Guaidó and Carlos Vecchio who are exiled in the North American country.

«In 2023 we requested an arrest warrant against Juan Guaidó with the criminal management he had in Citgo, which led to an embargo, causing him to harm the national public assets by a judge in the United States. I remember that when we calculate the losses for the performance of this corrupt person, it was 20 billion dollars, ”he said in a meeting with the press.

«I also want to remember that we made this request binding on the crimes of betrayal of the homeland, usurpation of functions, benefit of public money, values ​​or goods, legitimacy of capital and association. We have 29 accumulated causes against these subjects, where apart from Guaidó and Vecchio from Venezuela, ”he added.
