Two dangerous criminals dejected in Caracas during security operations

Two dangerous criminals were killed this Friday during clashes with security officials in different parts of Caracas. The authorities are looking to dismantle several bands that operate in the city.

The first incident took place in the Unión neighborhood, located in the Petare parish of the Sucre municipality. Unit officials against criminal bands of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) were deployed in the area in the search for criminals.

During the patrol, they ran into an individual known as Alias ​​El Quotiza, who opened fire against the officials. In the exchange of shooting, the offender was seriously injured and died shortly after.

His body was transferred to the morgue of Bello Monte for the corresponding investigations. So far, it is unknown if it was part of a band that operates in the area, according to information from the events reporter, Román Camacho.

In another isolated event, Douglas Rico, director of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (Cicpc), reported on the death of José Alejandro Espinoza Álvarez (37), aka El Gordo, qualified as a «dangerous criminal.»

Espinoza, along with two accomplices, was involved in a robbery in the Santa Rosalía parish, where a person was injured. After starting the investigations, the Cicpc managed to find its whereabouts.

The officials went to the El Cemetery sector to capture Espinoza, but the latter opened fire against them. In the confrontation, Espinoza was seriously injured and died at the car hospital.

Espinoza had two requests for the crimes of aggravated robbery, crouch, personal injuries and aggravated vehicle theft. In addition, he had been deprived of liberty for his participation in a homicide.

The authorities continue to work to dismantle the criminal gangs that operate in the city and guarantee the safety of citizens.
