Tragedy in Mérida: man suicide after trying to kill his 7 -year -old daughter

A 32 -year -old man, identified as Miguel Ángel Newman Chacón, tried to kill his just 7 -year -old daughter and took his life on Monday on the La Variant road, in the Mérida state.

The tragic event took place at the Royal Bridge, Sucre municipality, at night at night. Unofficial sources indicated that Newman was driving his motorcycle in the direction of the Vigía – Mérida with his daughter.

Apparently, Newman stopped in the aforementioned bridge, where the girl grabbed and jumped into the void. Regional media said the man died instantly in the impact, but the girl survived the fall.

Officials of the Fire Department of Mérida and Civil Protection arrived at the scene, where they attended the little girl. Then they transferred her to the Autonomous Institute of the Andes University Hospital.
