Sucre: They find a dead dolphin on the coast, authorities investigate the causes

Civil Protection (PC) officials and Carúpano’s fire department found a new Dolphin in a state of decomposition in the Sucre state on Friday.

After the finding, the competent authorities were notified, who presented themselves at the scene to perform the body lifting and take samples for analysis.

The authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the causes of the death of the dolphin. It is presumed that the animal could have died from natural causes, such as diseases or old age, or for causes related to human activity, such as pollution or incidental fishing.
