Mayor of New York agrees operations with immigration and customs service

The Immigration and Customs Service will begin operating in Rikers, the largest prison in New York City, after the mayor met with the Tira Tom Homan border. In a statement Eric Adams, mayor of New York City said:

“Immigration and Customs Service agents will focus specifically on helping the Penitentiary Intelligence Office in their criminal investigations, particularly those focused on violent criminals and gangs. We also discuss ways to incorporate more New York police detectives into federal working groups. ”

Pro Immigrant Organizations accused Adams of being an accomplice of the Trump administration and making promises behind closed doors in exchange for their own interests.
