Thief dejected in Guárico when trying to steal the Treasury

A field worker failed a man during an attempted robbery at his farm located in the Samanito sector of the El Socorro municipality, Guárico state. The incident occurred in the early hours of today, when a group of armed men broke into the property with the intention of stealing pigs.

According to official sources, the owner of the farm, whose identity has not been revealed, surprised the assailants and shot at them in self -defense. During the confrontation, one of the alleged criminals, identified as Abrahan Ortiz, 25, died in the place. The rest of the assailants fled after the incident.

The police authorities, after being alerted by residents of the area, presented themselves at the farm to carry out the removal of the body and initiate the relevant investigations. The Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (CICPC) is gathering evidence and the case will continue under investigation.

The incident has generated shock in the community of El Socorro, where residents demand greater security in the rural area.
