Nurse arrested for theft of medical supplies at Hospital de Anzoátegui

In the last hours, a nurse identified as Gladys María Salazar Machado, 37, was arrested by officials of the Hospital Brigade of the Bolivarian Police of the Anzoátegui State, for her alleged involvement in the theft of medical supplies of the Dr. Luis Razetti Hospital from Barcelona.

The arrest was carried out during the night of last Monday, February 17, 2025, after it was hospitable.

The nurse was transferred to the police headquarters and put to the order of the Fifth Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry, where the corresponding investigations will be carried out to determine their responsibility in the alleged crime.

The authorities of the Dr. Luis Razetti hospital have initiated internal investigation to determine the scope of theft and reinforce the control and safety mechanisms to avoid similar incidents in the future.
