Cuban singer Paulo Fernández Gallo, known in the artistic world as Paulito FG, died this Saturday in Havana after suffering a car accident. He was 63 years old.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Calle 12 with Malecon, in El Vedado, after his car impact with a Transtur bus, according to official reports.
Images that circulate on social networks show the vehicle in which the musician was traveling completely shattered.
Paulo FG, who reaped great successes in the 90s, remained working inside and out of Cuba for years.
His controversial statements in defense of Fidel Castro and the Havana regime raised the anger of many Cubans inside and outside the island. In 2020, Miami Mayor Francis Suárez referred to him as a person Non pleasant.
