Bus accident leaves at least 33 dead in Bolivia

An accident between two buses in Bolivia caused the death of at least 33 people and left several injured, the local police reported.

The incident happened during the early morning in the tourist route between Uyuni and Colchani, Bolivian West, an opportunity in which one of the roads involved was heading to the Carnival party in Oruro.

«A fatal accident has occurred and left us around 33 deceased people confirmed already,» Osmar Salvatierra, an official of the municipality of Uyuni, informed local media.

Police work there for legal issues with bodies and to clarify the circumstances of the accident in search of an official report.
