Russia will deal with Elon Musk cooperation in space with the United States

The head of the Russian Sovereign Fund Kiril Dmiteriev, who participated in the recent negotiations in Saudi Arabia between Russia and the US, announced on Tuesday that Moscow plans to address soon with the founder of Spacex, Elon Musk, cooperation in space between the two countries.

«Conversations with Musk will take place in the near future. We believe that Musk is a unique leader, committed to making humanity united progress, ”said Dmítriev, cited by the Tass agency.

Dmítriev had already proposed to Musk a few days ago sending a joint mission to Mars.

«Our knowledge and technologies must serve the good of humanity and not its destruction,» he said.

DMítriev recalled that in 2025 50 years have passed since the first Soviet-American mission (Apolo-Soyuz) and wondered if 2029 could be the year of a joint mission of both countries to the red planet following Musk’s plans to send his Megacohete Starship to Mars.

DMítriev, a Russian negotiator for economic normalization with the US, reiterated that some 150 US companies continue to operate in Russia and most of them have been done for more than a quarter of a century.
