The Chilean government extended its «solidarity» to the Argentine Government and the «devastating floods» that affect Bahía Blanca, catastrophe that according to the authorities adds until now 13 died people – 11 of them identified – and thousands of victims.

«Chile expresses its entire willingness to collaborate with the Argentine authorities to contribute to overcome the emergency, especially in the closest environment of the affected communities,» said the Chilean Foreign Ministry through a statement.

The emergency in Argentina was unleashed after a 400 millimeter drop in water in eight hours, the equivalent of the annual average of Bahía Blanca.

Until now, the search for two missing minors continues with tactical divers, while about 800 evacuated.

Given the lack of electricity and communications, the Minister of Security reported that they have created a record of missing persons together with a patrol system with security forces to document the requests for help and search for lost.
