Cicpc clarifies homicide on commission in Falcón: two detainees and two fugitives

Officials of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (CICPC) have achieved the arrest of two individuals involved in the murder of Rubén Junior Monastery Jiménez, 27, which occurred on February 4 in the Zumurucuare sector of the Miranda municipality, Falcón state.

The victim was assassinated by commission, product of old quarrels between intellectual authors and monastery, related to territorial disputes.

Commissioner Douglas Rico, director of the Cicpc, reported that the detainees were identified as José Gregorio Polanco Reyes (22) and Daniel Alexander Polanco Garmendia (27), the latter with a history of escape, qualified homicide, generic robbery and illicit carrier of firearms.

On the day of the crime, the subjects moved on a motorcycle and fired multiple times against Monastery, who died when he entered the specialized popular clinic Dr. Eliecer Canelón.

The investigations revealed that the crime was planned by Yonner Rafael Duin Quintero (24), nicknamed «Armandito», still a fugitive, who was contacted by Anderson Michell Escobar Duno (28), alias «black Pancho», also in escape. The motive for homicide was the criminal control of the area, whereby there were disputes between intellectual authors and the victim.

Alias »Black Pancho» has a history of illicit bearing, theft and homicide. The detainees were captured in the Cruz Verde sector, where a sweater used during crime and motorcycle used to commit the crime was seized.

The case has been sent to the Public Ministry for due legal processing.
