While companies such as Tesla develop robots for domestic tasks, Clone Robotics focuses on biomimetic robotics, with synthetic organs and artificial muscles, which mimic human anatomical structures, with the aim of achieving similar movements.
Founded in 2021, the company began creating a robotic hand with bones and artificial muscles, designed to imitate human functionality. Your thumb turns and can even catch a ball easily. From this, the company developed a humanoid torso with realistic characteristics, including a mobile elbow, a cervical column and realistic shoulder joints.
Clone’s muscular system uses Myofiberan artificial muscles technology introduced by the company in 2021, to move its skeleton. It works by joining muscles to precise points of the bones. Alpha’s artificial nervous system is designed for instantaneous control of the muscles, using only proprioceptive feedback (that is, knowing the exact position of body parts at all times).
Clone Alpha has four deep chambers in the skull for vision, 70 inertial sensors that detect the position and movement of the body and 320 pressure sensors that provide strength feedback.
The AI brain is trained in the algorithm called Telequinesis, which is used to learn and dominate skills, such as shaking hand, serving drinks, preparing sandwiches, washing clothes, passing the vacuum, turn on and off the lights, put the table , load and download the dishwasher and even start dialogues.
