Four young people arrested for wetting a student of the Police Academy and his mother during the Carnival in La Guaira

Four young people were arrested by security forces after wetting with water a student of the Guaira Police Academy and their mother during the Carnival celebration on Tuesday, March 4. The incident took place on Los Baños street, in Maiquetía, according to information from the truth of Vargas.

The 19 -year -old student, who wore her uniform, and her mother headed to her residence when they were addressed by a group of people. Despite the student’s warnings, the young people proceeded to wet them with water and pumps.

The student filed a complaint at the Guaira Police headquarters. Security officials were deployed in the area and arrested the four young people, identified as Diego Alexander Carcurián Córdova (26 years old), Ricardo José Luuche Cordero (33), Adonis Alexander Rodríguez Brito (25) and Josué Wilmer García Peñalver (23), who were «playing with water.»

The detainees were transferred to the Macuto police headquarters and made available to the Public Ministry. They are expected to be accused of the crime of outrage for wetting the student and her mother.

Additionally, it was determined that García Peñalver had a pending judicial request since 2024 for the crime of qualified theft. For its part, Leuche Cordero appeared in the information system as «deceased» (murdered), which is under investigation.
