Man with a Palestinian flag goes up to Torre del Big Ben and mobilizes emergency services

The emergency services went on Saturday at the immediate vicinity of the Westminster Palace in London after a man who carried a Palestinian flag climbed the Big Ben tower, police reported.

The photographs show the barefoot man and standing in a cornice several meters high in the Elizabeth Tower, which houses the Big Ben.

The Westminster bridge and another near bridge were closed, and several emergency vehicles went to the place while a crowd watched from behind a police cord.

The Metropolitan Police indicated that their agents were «working for the incident to reach a safe resolution», together with firefighters and ambulance services.

Three emergency workers were uploaded on a platform of a firefighter and were seen using a speaker to talk to the man.

The authorities said that visits to the Chambers of Parliament were canceled on Saturday because of the incident.
