Russia responds to Europe: to build Ukraine is not a peace plan

Peskov commented thus the informal summit held this Sunday in the British capital, in which the first steps were taken for European countries to guarantee Ukrainian security if an agreement is reached with Russia that stops war.

However, he stressed that «there is a group of countries that, rather, constitute a ‘war party’, which declares its willingness to continue supporting Ukraine in terms of supporting The war and guarantee the continuation of military operations ».

The Kremlin spokesman said that these countries «do not say it is necessary to move towards peace conditions as soon as possible.»

«Zelenski wants to continue the war»

Regarding Ukraine, Peskov said that the Ukrainian president demonstrated with his discussion in the White House that «he does not want peace.»

“kyiv and Zelenski do not want peace. They want to continue the war, ”said spokeswoman for Kremlin.

In his opinion, the discussion on Friday before the television cameras between Zelenski and the president of the United States, Donald Trump, was an “unprecedented” fact, which showed “how difficult it will be to enter a trajectory of arrangement in Ukraine”.

However, the spokesman stressed that Moscow will continue the negotiations with Washington that began in mid -February in Riyadh, to normalize their bilateral relations.
