«I have requested protocol resignation to ministers, ministers and directors of administrative departments. There will be some changes in the cabinet to achieve greater compliance in the program ordered by the people, ”Petro wrote in his X (Twitter) account.
«The Government will concentrate completely on the fulfillment of the program,» reiterated the head of state of Neographic.
Strategy with Venezuela to attack border guerrilla groups
In the middle of the week Petro had praised the work they have been doing with Venezuela, to dismantle the camps of guerrilla groups in the border area.
«Our strategy with Venezuela in international politics worked, that is, they are deactivating the ELN camps in Venezuela because they consider that a healthy diplomatic relationship with Colombia is valuable,» Petro said during a Council of Ministers in Bogotá.
Petro had confirmed days ago that they would be working in coordination with the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to fight the National Liberation Army (ELN) on the border with Venezuela.
At the same time, Nicolás Maduro announced the deployment of a military operation in the border area with Colombia’s catatumbo to make a complete cleaning of any drug trafficking element, motivated by the armed conflict that is being carried out on the Colombian side.
Despite the advances offered by Petro on the dismantling of the ELN camps in Venezuela, so far the FANB and the Maduro government have kept silent and have not reported the balance of their deployment in the border area.
