Betzabeth Jaramillo, founder of the non -governmental organization (NGO) I support you Ecuador, denounced Godoy’s death through her Instagram account, in which she shared statements by several witnesses of the incident.

“A Venezuelan was allegedly killed at the hands of the Metropolitan Police of Guayaquil. We demand investigation into these facts, ”Jaramillo said in his social networks.

For his part, Ali Sánchez, close to Godoy, warned that Godoy’s body was allegedly abandoned by police officers at the Bicentennial Hospital of Guayaquil.

“It is a working, honest and honest person. He was grabbed by some metropolitans while working and hit him until he was dying. Then they brought him to the hospital, ”said Sanchez on February 7 in a public complaint on social networks.

An Ecuadorian citizen, who was not identified, confirmed that Godoy was persecuted and assaulted by a group of local police.

“We demand justice and a transparent investigation for the murder of Jorman Godoy. This cannot continue to happen. We sympathize with your family and with our entire migrant community. Being migrant is not a crime! ”Jaramillo added.
