Tragedy in New York: Fire takes on the mother’s life with Alzheimer’s and her two children

A devastating fire occurred in the early hours of Sunday in Bayside, Queens, has claimed the lives of three members of the same family, including a senior citizen with Alzheimer’s and her two adult children. The incident, which unleashed around 2:40 am in a residence located on 20th Street between 33 and 34 avenues, mobilized dozens of firefighters and emergency services personnel of the New York Fire Department (FDNY).

The authorities confirmed the death of three people in the place. Neighbors of the area identified the victims as a 90 -year -old mother suffered by Alzheimer’s, her son and a daughter with Down syndrome. “They are all dead. They were a mother and her two children, ”said Desmond Brennan, a family neighbor. According to Brennan, the two children of the woman were around 50.

The fire, which began in the basement of the house, was extinguished by firefighters after 4:00 am about 106 FDNY and Emergency Medical Services personnel were present at the scene.
