Trump orders to revoke oil agreement with the Maduro regime in Venezuela

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced Wednesday that he will reverse the «concessions» that the previous administration had given to the oil of Venezuela.

In one Publication in the Social Truth Network, Trump said he has ordered that the agreement, dated November 26, 2022, is terminated in March and that the conditions that were imposed at that time «have not been fulfilled by the Venezuelan regime.»

«I order that the ineffective and breached ‘concession agreement’ of Joe Biden be terminated as of March 1,» he wrote.

Trump said that other additional reasons to reverse the agreement were the electoral conditions in Venezuela and the breach of «receiving irregular migrants deported to the rhythm they had agreed.»

«He has not been transporting the violent criminals they sent to our country,» he said.

In November 2022, the Biden administration reduced the sanctions imposed on Venezuela and maintained the commercial license authorizing Chevron to extract oil in that country as part of a diplomatic effort to promote democratic reforms in Venezuela and facilitate humanitarian aid. As the political conditions in the South American country did not improve, Biden implemented the sanctions again in April 2024 but the Chevron license was not affected.

In a statement, the congressmen by the Florida Mario Díaz-Balart, Carlos A. Giménez, and María Elvira Salazar thanked Trump’s decision to revoke “the pathetic rescue of the Biden-Harris administration of the Narco-Antiestadounidse of Maduro dictatorship by cutting his vital supply of oil”.

They stressed that the days of appeasing the hostile regimes to the US, consent to dictators and marginalize our national security interests have ended. «There is no better ally than President Donald Trump.»

The announcement comes a day after the White House said the president «opposes the Maduro regime.»

The press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, responded categorically when asked about the expressions of the envoy for special missions, Richard Grenelll, who traveled to Caracas last January to address the issue of deportations and the release of six Americans imprisoned in Venezuela.

Donald Trump «has made his position very clear» that «Maduro’s regime is opposed,» the press secretary, Karoline Leavitt told reporters, when asked about Grenelll’s comments that «Trump is someone who does not want a regime change.»
