United Kingdom prohibits the cybertruck: these are the reasons behind the veto to the Tesla vehicle

The Tesla Cybertruck, known for its futuristic design and its promise to be a “bulletproof” vehicle, has been subject to controversy in the United Kingdom. According to Forbes, the British authorities recently confiscated a unit of this model near Manchester due to the lack of a «certificate of conformity», an essential document to legally circulate on the country’s roads. This incident has shown that the vehicle does not meet the security standards required in the region, which makes it a forbidden model in that territory.

Despite having obtained a five -star rating in the safety tests of the National Road Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the United States, Cybertruck fails to satisfy the strict British regulations.

Local authorities have indicated five fundamental problems in the design and engineering of the vehicle that make it incompatible with the United Kingdom Road Safety laws. These problems include their weight, size, sharp edges, structural rigidity and the design of your light bar, among other aspects.

A design that challenges British safety standards

The Cybertruck, launched in 2019 after several delays, generated almost worship monitoring in the United States thanks to its radical design and innovative characteristics. However, in the United Kingdom, its design has been harshly criticized.
