Taylor Gabriel Padrón Fernández, 21, was arrested on Wednesday in the El Marqués Urbanization, Caracas, by officials of the Municipal Police of Sucre. The arrest occurred after the identification of register as the alleged responsible for multiple thefts in the area, evidenced in security videos disseminated in social networks.
In the videos, Padrón is observed breaking parked vehicles to subtract value objects. His capture was completed when he tried to flee after stealing some sunglasses.
When verifying the identity of Padrón, the authorities discovered that he had a pending application since 2022 for the crime of generic theft, according to information provided by the reporter Román Camacho. In addition, Padrón has an extensive criminal history, which includes three cases of common generic theft, tentative of vehicle theft, generic robbery and drug trafficking.
The detainee has been made available to the Public Ministry, which will determine its legal situation in the next few hours.
