Officials of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) confiscated 25 devices for Bitcoin mining, which were illegally operated at a home in the Las Delicias sector, Maracaibo municipality, Zulia state.
The military operation, attached to Detachment 111, of the zone command No. 11 Zulia, was made in response to a complaint filed by the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec), in accordance with the report of the Security Agency, published on Instagram.
For this fact, a man was arrested, who responds to the name of Cristóbal Gabriel García Salas, who is accused of charges of illegal possession of mining machines.
In addition to the mining devices, the authorities confiscated a Mitsubishi vehicle, a lancer model, blue.
Specifically, the GNB agents found 25 devices for Bitcoin mining, a car and two mobile phones.
Previously, the authorities captured three people linked to this case, who are accused of the theft of transformers and strategic material belonging to Corpoelec.
According to the authorities, this illegal activity generated a margin of production of approximately 3,500 US dollars per month.
The case was aware of the Public Ministry.
