Caprile criticisms whom they «claim» that all Venezuelan migrants are «members of the Aragua train»

The opposition leader, Henrique Capriles, criticized on Friday those who «claim» that all Venezuelan migrants are criminals and «members of the Aragua train,» considering that this stigmatization is «dantesque and unfair.»

In his X (Twitter) account, the former governor of Miranda and former presidential candidate in 2012 and 2013 said: «Continue to affirm that all Venezuelan migrants are criminals of the ‘Aragua Train’, it is one of the most dantesque and unfair things they have that our Venezuelan brothers abroad ».

«It cannot be said that all are criminals, more when most were looking for a better future,» Capriles said. In their words, they fled «because of the crisis generated by the ruling in more than 25 years.»

«Organizations and relatives continue to denounce arbitrariness and abuse. What have been the crimes? What has been the verification criteria? It is a very delicate situation, ”he added. At that point, the opponent refers to the sending of Venezuelan migrants to Guantanamo from the US government, which ensures that those transferred are «dangerous criminals.»

«Guantanamo is a high security military prison, which has been often denounced by inhuman treatment. We demand respect for the human rights of Venezuelans. It is unacceptable to classify all migrants as criminals, ”said the leader.

More than 100 Venezuelan migrants sent to Guantanamo

Capriles’s message was motivated by information indicating that the Trump administration has sent to that naval base in Cuba to a total of 100 migrants, all of them Venezuelans.

More than half of these people (53 men), according to The New York Times, are arrested in a jail inside the military base.

Although the United States government labels them all as «dangerous criminals,» the EFE agency revealed that it found no criminal record for three of them. For that reason, their relatives defend their innocence.
