CICPC captures three involved in homicide during theft in Valencia

Officials of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (CICPC) achieved the arrest of three men responsible for the murder of Iván Nicolás Noriega Silva (63), who was killed in his residence in Parque Valencia, Ávila sector, Rafael Urdaneta parish, Valencia municipality, on July 12, 2024.

The information was confirmed by the director of the Cicpc, Douglas Rico, through his Instagram account, where he explained that the detainees were identified as Reinaldo David Aponte Villasana (52), Henry José Aponte Villasana (49) and Ricardo Alexis Aponte Villasana (54).

The investigations revealed that the detainees, along with other individuals (two of them deceased and four still to stop), entered the residence of Noriega Silva with the intention of stealing. After submitting the victim under threat of death, managing her and physically assaulting her, she was transferred to another place where she was shot multiple times, causing her death. According to unofficial information, the victim received more than 15 bullet impacts.

When verifying the background of the detainees in the Integrated Police Information System (Syipol), it was found that:

• Henry José Aponte Villasana has records for common generic theft and drug trafficking.
• Reinaldo David Aponte Villasana has records for illicit possession and drug trafficking, and common theft.
• Ricardo Alexis Aponte Villasana has records for trade of narcotic substances and a request by the Fifth Control Court of the Carabobo State.

The case has been sent to the 11th Prosecutor’s Office of the Carabobo State Public Ministry to continue investigations and the judicial process.
