Crime in Guárico: adolescent suffocate her six -year -old cousin and her mother tries to hide the body

The police authorities of the Guárico state have arrested two women, aunt and cousin, for their involvement in the death of a six -year -old boy. The tragic event has shocked the local community.

The main responsible for the crime is a child under 16, cousin of the child, who was arrested with his mother, Ivis del Rosario Torralba Castillo (36), accused of complicity.

According to the director of the Cicpc, Douglas Rico, the child died from «mechanical suffocation for suffocation.» The investigations revealed that the child’s mother left him in the care of his cousin while making purchases. Upon returning, the teenager reported to ignore the child’s whereabouts, which motivated a complaint of disappearance. Subsequently, the child’s body was found lifeless.

Forensic investigations determined that the child suffered a fall and was then strangled by his cousin. The teenager hid the body in her home, covering it with clothes. By confessing the crime to his mother, this, instead of denouncing the fact, devised a plan to get rid of the body.

Both women moved the body and abandoned it in the El Hat sector, Las Tiamitas II, on the National High Highway, Julián Mellado municipality.

The case has been made available to prosecutors 12 and 13 of the Public Ministry, where relevant investigations will be carried out to clarify the details of this unfortunate event.
