The marathoner, who practices this sporting activity since 2017, decided to travel the 42 kilometers of the Madrid route for this purpose, the CTDM stood out in a post.
The Zurich Rock ‘N’ Roll Running Series Madrid brings together about 45 thousand participants, including about 10,000 foreigners from more than 110 countries.
The #Nolosabandnemos campaignthat pays tribute «to all defenders of rights and freedoms of the Cuban people who are today unfairly imprisoned,» will be active until May 4, 2025.
According to the most recent report of the organization Prisoners Defenderswith headquarters in Madrid, in Cuba there are around 1,152 political and conscience prisoners, who suffer judicial convictions and provisions of limitation of freedom by the prosecutors without judicial supervision, due process or effective defense, in flagrant violation of international law.
At least two of those political prisoners have been recent victims of terrible torture in jail, the non -governmental organization said.
Complaints of extreme conditions in Cuban prisons are frequent. From the denial of medical care for serious diseases to overcrowding, lack of hygiene and medications, testimonies reveal a humanitarian crisis in the Cuban penitentiary system.
