Man arrested in Maracaibo for abusing his stepdaughter; The mother is also arrested

Hugo José Suárez was arrested this Saturday by the Bolivarian Police Corps of the State Zulia (CPbez) accused of sexually abusing his 12 -year -old stepdaughter in the Domínguez de Maracaibo neighborhood. The child of the child, Yenny Chiquinquirá Quevedo González, was also arrested for alleged complicity in the crime.

The arrest occurred after the girl revealed to her teachers that she was being abused by her stepfather and that her mother was aware of the facts. CPBEZ troops detailed that they proceeded to capture the mother in the same sector where the family resided, while the stepfather was later arrested in Santa Rosa.

The adolescent was immediately transferred to the four -year maternal hospital for her integral medical and psychological evaluation. The authorities continue to investigate the case.

The authorities indicated that both detainees were put to the order of the prosecution 35 of the Public Ministry, where the corresponding investigations will be followed to determine the criminal responsibilities in this case.
