Man arrested in Maracaibo for brutally assaulting his baby

Maracaibo police officers, Zulia state, arrested a man for wildly assaulting his son, a baby of a few months of age.

Carlos Cardet Llorente, 72, was recorded in secret while hitting the child. The video was sent to the authorities of the Public Ministry, which unleashed the investigation.

In the images the man is observed by propelling several snacks to the baby. After receiving the material, the police officers went to the La Smile sector of the Manuel Dagnino parish and proceeded to stop it.

The baby’s aunt reported that the infant’s mother suffers from schizophrenia and is currently hospitalized to receive treatment.

The detainee, whose nationality is presumed foreign, faces charges for the crime of cruel treatment and abuse of a minor.
