Nicolás Maduro asks Guterres to intercede for Venezuelan migrants in El Salvador

Nicolás Maduro, who swore for a third term in January after his questioned re -election in Venezuela, asked the United Nations Secretary General (UN), António Guterres, and the high commissioner of this human rights agency, Volker Türk, who intercede for Venezuelan migrants who are arrested in El Salvador, where they arrived after being deported by the United States.

In a transmission of the Venezuelan state television channel (VTV), Maduro considered that these Venezuelans are «kidnapped», in «forced disappearance» and remain in «concentration camps.»

In addition, he criticized that neither the president of the United States, Donald Trump, nor that of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, have published the list of migrants who were deported on March 16 to the Central American country, accused of allegedly belonging to the Transnational Train of Aragua, which was born in a Venezuelan prison.

«It is said that there are 238 Venezuelans kidnapped in prisons, concentration camps, by El Salvador. A week after being taken and launched in concentration camps, or the United States government or Nayib Bukele have published the list of whom they have kidnapped in El Salvador, ”said the Chavista leader, for whom that is called» forced disappearance. «

Maduro demanded that agencies within the United States and the UN «take immediate actions» to restore the human rights of «all Venezuelan migration.»

He also reported that on Monday «a Salvadoran law firm» introduced an appeal of ‘habeas corpus’ for «the freedom of a group of kidnapped Venezuelans.»

«Later we will have all these Venezuelans and Venezuelans in their land, with their family,» he said.

Similarly, he reiterated that «the fascist extreme right» created a «story» for «months, years» of a criminal gang that was «confronted and defeated» in Venezuela, referring to the Aragua Train, cataloged by Trump’s administration as a terrorist organization.

«It was firmly fought by police security forces, intelligence bodies, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces,» Maduro said.

In addition, he rejected Trump’s statements, who said today that Venezuela has sent to the United States «tens of thousands of high -level criminals and other criminals» «intentionally.»

«Do you think it is true and it is fair to say that Venezuela planned an invasion of criminals to the United States? (…) It is the greatest lie that has ever been said about our country, ”said the Chavista leader.

This Monday, relatives and relatives of Venezuelan migrants concentrated in Caracas to ask for justice and the return of their relatives, whom they consider «kidnapped» in El Salvador.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Communication, Freddy Ñáñez, said that there is a «witch hunt» against Venezuelans in the United States by Trump, who invoked a 1789 law to deport more than 200 migrants to El Salvador.
