The Provincial Prosecutor of Las Tunas approved a change of precautionary measure for activist Gustavo Colás Castillo, arrested for more than 90 days for allegedly discrediting the ruler Miguel Díaz-Canel on social networks.
“That publication against Díaz-Canel never showed it to me. I have not seen it. It is a case that addresses the security of the State and they do what they want, are above the prosecutors, above justice, above all, ”said Martí News.
“I am subject to a trial yet. That is under investigation, what I have is a change of measure. On 17 I have to call there because the prosecutor’s investigation must already close and then he will end and they will imprison me or not; If I go to trial or not, ”he said.
After a record in his home on December 4, in the Tunera town of Amancio Rodríguez, Colás Castillo was arrested in the Provincial Unit of Criminal Instruction. Days later he was transferred for the El Typical prison, in pretrial detention.
The 57 -year -old activist, accused of contempt, was released on March 7, under the measure of house seclusion with severe restrictions on his freedom of movement: «To leave the municipality I have to ask permission and I am prohibited from traveling abroad.» You also have to call each month, on a certain date to the execution judge.
“It has helped me to see the great affection and affection that the people of my neighborhood have me, the townspeople of the Amanciero people, officials, leaders. Today, two sector leaders greeted me with love, annoying with what they did to me, ”said Colás, known by the Guardian of the Homeland due to his study and dissemination of the Martian work.
Meanwhile, in Las Tunas, they were sentenced to long prison sentences Felix Daniel Pérez Ruiz and Cristhian de Jesús Peña Aguilera, for their publications in social networks in which they expressed their disagreement with the government and called a demonstration to protest against him. Both were accused of «propaganda against the constitutional order.»
