Two people were detained for their alleged link with a network of trafficking in persons, which operated in Barinas state.
Officials of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) were in charge of the operation, after which the disarticulation of the criminal network was achieved, the digital medium said power on the web.
According to the report, officials assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division detected the situation in the Barinas municipality, El Carmen Parish, El Change Sector.
Two people were arrested for their alleged link with the collection of women through social networks.
The detainees were identified as Elvira Bernedita Guerrero Zambrano and Carlos Alejandro Mata Pinilla.
According to the authorities, those involved offered false job offers to women from different states of the country.
Subsequently, when the victims arrived in Barinas, they kept them in their possession, under threats, to exploit them sexually.
The police operation was carried out after an investigation that allowed the identification of the criminal modus operandi.
Guerrero Zambrano and Mata Pinilla were at the order of the Public Ministry.
Those involved will face positions for the alleged crimes of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
The authorities continue investigations to determine if there are other people involved in this criminal network.
