Officials of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) arrested two men in the Esteller municipality of the Portuguese State for the alleged smuggling of 3,000 liters of diesel.
The procedure was carried out by members of the Directorate of Strategic and Tactical Actions of the Division against theft and theft of PNB vehicles, during patrol and security work in the jurisdiction.
The individuals were identified as Eliécer Josué Urbáez Torres and Elvis José Pérez Véliz. At the time of detention, they moved aboard a Chevrolet brand truck, model 350, inside whose 3,000 liters of diesel type fuel were found, illegally transported.
The authorities presume that the fuel was destined for the black market, where it would be marketed at higher prices.
The case was put to the order of the Public Ministry for the corresponding investigations and the determination of the criminal responsibilities to which there is.
The Bolivarian National Police reaffirms its commitment in the fight against fuel smuggling and other crimes that threaten the economy and security of the country.
