Repressors captured in operation against UNPACU activists in Santiago de Cuba (Video)

More than a dozen arrests have occurred in Santiago de Cuba, related to the humanitarian program that José Daniel Ferrer develops in this eastern city. Three people were arrested this Friday, in an operation that was recorded in a video filmed from the house of the renowned Cuban opponent.

The leader of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU) told Martí News that they have been facing a police siege of State Security Agents and the National Revolutionary Police (PNR), designed to prevent food delivery and help hundreds of needy at the headquarters of the opposition organization.

Ferrer said that the arrests of activists and collaborators are already going on. Two of them, Roilán Zárga Ferrer and Fernando González Vaillant, remain under arrest.

«Both have already been two times in prison for working here, at the main headquarters of the UNPACU, helping with the purchase of food and cooking, food development,» said the opponent.

Dayán Manuel Ferrer, also a collaborator of this initiative, was arrested this day. The three were taken for the second unit of the PNR of the city.

Ferrer’s humanitarian work and his group seeks to help «hundreds of people living in the extreme misery … elderly, sick, mothers with several children, children, and how many people in need come to our home,» the political express of the black spring of 2003 and the anti -government protests of July 11, 2021 told our writing.
