The National Superintendence for the Defense of Socio -Economic Rights (LUNDDE) has deployed an operation at the national level with the objective of verifying compliance with the exchange rate established by the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) in the shops of the country.
This action is part of the «National Verification Plan for compliance with the BCV exchange rate», an initiative promoted by the Venezuelan government to protect the national economy and ensure that the prices of goods and services are adjusted to the official rate of the dollar.
«We are deployed in businesses throughout the country to guarantee the socio -economic rights of our people,» said the Sundde through her Instagram account. In addition, citizens were reminded that «fair points» are active to receive complaints and claims quickly and easily.
This measure is produced in response to the instructions of Nicolás Maduro, who has urged the economic authorities to establish «new technological mechanisms for the development and interaction of the Venezuelan exchange market that allow the defense of the market dollar.»
Maduro has described the «speculative dollar» as an «old enemy of the Venezuelan economy» and has called the population not to «stimulate, in any aspect, the dollar of war, the parallel dollar.»
The Lation will continue to carry out these inspections nationwide to ensure compliance with the official exchange rate and protect the purchasing power of Venezuelans.
