The air connection is strengthened: Iberia elevates five weekly flights between Caracas and Madrid

Iberia has announced a significant increase in its supply of flights to Latin America, projecting exceeding 355 weekly flights and selling 2.4 million places between the last weeks of 2025 and the first months of 2026. This expansion includes a strengthening of the Madrid-Characas route, as well as an increase in the frequency of flights to other key destinations in the region.

The Spanish airline explained that the Caracas-Madrid route will increase to five weekly frequencies, significantly improving the connection between Venezuela and Spain.

Other destinations that will experience an increase in flight offer are:

• Chili: Santiago de Chile will have 12 weekly flights, two more than in 2024, offering more than 176,000 seats.
• Peru: Lima will increase from 13 to 14 weekly frequencies, allowing double daily flight and facilitating the trip of approximately 1,360 people daily between Spain and Peru.
• Dominican Republic: Santo Domingo will also see an increase in its connectivity, with 13 weekly frequencies in some months and around 142,000 places available.

In addition, Iberia will keep the triple daily flight to Buenos Aires, Bogotá and Mexico City (21 weekly flights), and offer 14 weekly frequencies to Sao Paulo (two daily flights) and up to 5 to Rio de Janeiro.

Other Latin American destinations will also benefit from this expansion:

• Quito, San José de Costa Rica, San Juan de Puerto Rico and Montevideo will have 7 weekly frequencies (a daily flight).
• San Salvador and Guatemala will have 4 weekly frequencies.
• Guayaquil, Panama and Havana will offer 3 weekly frequencies.

This increase in the supply of flights reinforces Iberia’s commitment to the Latin American market, providing greater connectivity and facilitating trips between Spain and the region.
