The White House places a picture of Trump’s attack at the Portrait of Obama

The White House premiered a painting that emulates the moment in which Donald Trump survived an attempt to murder last year and hung it on the wall where the portrait of former president Barack Obama (2009-2017) was.

«A new work of art at the White House,» the institution wrote on Friday in his Network X account next to a three second video showing the painting.

It is a picture in which Trump appears with his fist and the bloody face, escorted by secret service agents and with an American flag waving in the background.

The painting emulates the iconic snapshot of seconds after the president today survived an attempt to murder during an electoral rally in Butler (Pennsylvania) on July 13, 2024.

The shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20 -year -old, shot with an assault rifle, touching the right ear of the Republican and killing a public member, before being killed by the authorities.

That moment was a turning point in the electoral campaign and Trump’s photo with his fist raised in victory has become an image that glorifies his figure.

According to the White House video, the new painting was installed in the hall of the presidential residence, on top of a bank and next to the stairs, where Obama’s portrait hung during the last months of the administration of Joe Biden (2021-2025).

The new location of the portrait of the former Democratic president, the target of constant Trump attacks is still unknown.

The White House began in 1965 the tradition of exhibiting on its walls portraits of former presidents and former first ladies of the country.

The painting of the attack is not the only symbolic image that Trump has placed in the White House, since in the hall that leads to the Oval Office hangs the photo of the police file that took him in 2023 in an Atlanta prison when declaring in a case of electoral interference.
