Trillizos make history by graduating as doctors surgeons with honors in the ULA

The Trillizos Halmar Eduardo, José Gregorio and Halmar José Morales Maldonado, originally from Táchira, made history by graduating as surgeon doctors with the Magna Cum Laude distinction at the University of Los Andes (ULA).

The brothers, who attended their undergraduate studies in the extension Dr. Pedro Rincón Gutiérrez de la Ula in San Cristóbal, Táchira state, received their titles in the framework of the celebration of the 240 years of the illustrious house of studies.

His graduation not only stands out for being an unprecedented fact in Trillizos, but also for the academic honors they obtained: José Gregorio reached the highest average of the XIX promotion, while Halmar Eduardo and Halmar José followed him closely.

Halmar José Morales Maldonado shared an emotional message on his Instagram account, where he thanked those who accompanied him on his way and reflected on the challenges surpassed during his eight years of studies.

“After 8 long years, today all the effort, nights of transochos and many reasons for not wanting to continue. However, the happiness of always having my brothers, my healthiest competition to want to be better every day, who did not allow me to give Academic, ”said Halmar José.

In his publication, the now surgeon stressed that this achievement is not only his, but the result of the support of many people. He especially thanked his parents for their constant support, prayers and words of encouragement that kept them focused during the race. He also recognized his sister María Alejandra (Tati), whom he described as his inspiration and example to follow from the beginning of this tour.

Halmar José did not forget to mention his friends, who, in his words, became family over the years. «Those who with laughter and a plate of food became our home, who always believed in our potential,» he said. In addition, he thanked his teachers and the University of Los Andes, specifically to the Faculty of Medicine and the Central Hospital of San Cristóbal, for being his home during all this time.

His message concluded with a reflection that summarizes his experience: «This only reaffirms that: ‘only the fastest goal is reached, but together, you get much further.»
