Migrants who were allowed to live temporarily in the United States through an online appointment application, from the Biden era, have been told that they leave the country «immediately», the authorities said Monday. How many beneficiaries are unknown.

More than 900,000 people were able to enter the country through the CBP One application since January 2023. Generally, they were allowed to remain in the United States for two years with authorization to work under a presidential authority called temporary permanence permit.
«The cancellation of these temporary permanence permits is a promise fulfilled to the American people to ensure our borders and protect national security,» said the press unit of the National Security Department in response to questions.
The authorities confirmed that cancellation notifications were sent to the CBP One beneficiaries, but did not specify how many. They were urged to leave the country voluntarily using the same application they used to enter, now called CBP Home.
«It’s time for the United States to leave,» wrote the Department of National Security to a Honduran family that entered the United States at the end of last year. Associated Press reviewed the email received on Sunday.
Others shared the same email on social networks.
On the other hand, a non -profit organization that provides legal assistance to migrants, indicated that some of the people who received the revocation letters come from Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico.
CBP One was a key piece of the Biden administration strategy to create and expand the legal routes to enter the United States, in an attempt to discourage illegal border crossings. By the end of December, the entry of 936,500 people with CBP One quotes in border crossings with Mexico had been allowed. President Donald Trump canceled CBP One for new residents on his first day of mandate, leaving thousands of people stranded in Mexico until the beginning of February.
