Two young people were arrested by officials of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (CICPC), accused of the murder of an 82 -year -old woman, in the Carabobo state.
According to the police agency’s report, the victim was identified as Olga Ramona Piña de Verhelst, who would have been killed by his granddaughters, inside his home.
The events were recorded in the Cumboto Sur urbanization, Juan José Flores Parish, Puerto Cabello municipality.
Agents of the State Coordination of Supervision of Investigations of Homicides Carabobo and Municipal Delegation Puerto Cabello were in charge of the procedure.
According to the authorities’ report, Olga Ramona suffered a violent interior aggression of her home, for this reason, she was transferred to the Doctor Adolfo Prince Lara hospital, where she died.
Subsequently, the authorities captured the granddaughters of the octogenarian, as the main suspects of the crime.
The Cicpc investigations allowed to know that Ambar Yannelis Verhelst Armas, 18 years old, and Oriana Valentina Verhelst Piña, 20, tried to simulate a robbery after committing the violent act.
They assured that unknown men entered their home to submit them together with their grandmother, who was given multiple wounds with a white weapon, after she supposedly opposed her belongings.
However, when questioned, the young women offered different versions of what happened.
The authorities verified the security cameras adjacent to the area, whose recordings allowed them to confirm that they had caused death to their grandmother.
His capture was made in the parish Juan José Flores, Puerto Cabello municipality, Carabobo state.
Those involved were at the order of the Public Ministry.
