Venezuela issued on Monday a «travel alert» to its citizens who move or make traffic in the US «on the irrigation and conditions» that, he says, «could face in that country», after the recent deportation of migrants to El Salvador, under the law of foreign enemies invoked by the US president, Donald Trump.
«In recent months, there has been an increase in arbitrary measures of immigration control and harassment policies against Venezuelans and Venezuelan,» the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
In the note, disseminated in Telegram by the head of Foreign Affairs of Caracas, Yván Gil, it is also recommended to those who «reside or transit» by US territory «extreme precautions», by pointing out an «increase in violent incidents» and «the implementation of regulations that restrict fundamental rights.»
According to communication, «cases of arbitrary arrests, deportations without cause, confiscation of goods and documents have been documented, as well as discriminatory and vexatious treatment by the US authorities,» which includes, adds, «imprisonment without due process and kidnapping in third countries prison.»
In that context, the administration of Nicolás Maduro makes «a call to the international community to be attentive to these practices that threaten human dignity and the principles of international law.»
Hours before, Jorge Rodríguez, announced that Chavismo would ask the Chavista leader, who swore last January for a third term after his questioned re -election in July 2024, that «it issues a request so that no Venezuelan» trip to the United States, considering that it is not a safe country.
The president of the National Assembly (AN, Parliament) said that the transfer of more than 200 migrants from the United States to El Salvador, on Sunday, under the Law of Foreign Enemies, was a «vulgar kidnapping» and denounced that this operation was carried out without guaranteeing their human rights or due process.
«None of the Venezuelans taken to El Salvador has committed absolutely no crime in El Salvador, why are they there? Nor have they committed a crime, or at least it has not been shown crime, in the United States of America, because they have been denied the right to due process, ”he said, while announcing that they will not rest until he rescued those he considered as» kidnapped. «
This Sunday, the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, announced that, under the Law of Foreign Enemies, more than 250 people accused of belonging to the transnational criminal organization to El Salvador, which the president of that country, Nayib Bukele, has offered to imprison, has been sent.
With that decision of Washington, all Venezuelans over 14 years of age who allegedly belong to the Aragua Train -organization born in a prison in the South American country and designated terrorist by the White House- are in the US and are not naturalized or are permanent legal residents, they are subject to being arrested, retained and expelled.
