The police and other federal forces were betting in various parts around the headquarters of Congress, in the center of Buenos Aires, and launched tear gas, gum bullets and water jets from trucks against the attendees to the protest march, where there were elders, women and young people.

The mobilization was convened to show support to retirees who protest at the gates of Congress to claim an update of pensions, the restitution of medication coverage and the continuity of the pension moratorium, which ends at the end of March.

The Ministry of National Security had launched warnings since Tuesday in the sense that it would prevent protesters from cutting the streets or starring violent acts.

«Our forces are deployed to enforce the protocol: the transit is not cut and the brave bars, on the sidewalk,» said the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich on social networks.

After the repression unleashed, the retirees who manifest themselves moved to one of the sides of the Congress building.

Meanwhile, police officers advanced, on foot and motorcycles, on other groups of protesters, mainly members of soccer unions and fans, to force them to go back and get away from the parliamentary headquarters.

In that maneuver to corner the march attendees, some protesters responded by throwing the effective bottles and stones.

For now there are no official figures on injured and detained.
