HRW warns that Trump’s plan to occupy Gaza is equivalent to an «ethnic cleaning of the Palestinian people»

HRW also recalled that international humanitarian law prohibits the permanent forced displacement of the population of an occupied territory and pointed out that when it occurs «with criminal intention, it constitutes a crime of war.»

In addition, he stressed, «if it is carried out as part of a generalized or systematic attack against the civilian population, it is a crime against humanity.»

Trump’s plans have been widely rejected by the UN, Arab governments, Russia, China and numerous more countries, including France and Spain, but not all in the European Union, which in relation to the Palestinian conflict is unable to forge A common position.
