Conatel revoked operations to supercable for «violating the rights of users» (statement)

The National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) notified the supercable company for the end of its license to operate in Venezuela for «violating the rights of users.»

The entity established «a 60 -day transition period, counted from the date of this notification, so that the affected users and users can migrate their services to a new authorized supplier.»

During that period, the company will not be able to accept new subscribers and must only guarantee the service to its current customers until the two months established by Conatel are completed.

Next, the statement:

To all users and users of telecommunications services offered by the Supercable Alk International SA operator:

The National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL), in its capacity as a regulatory entity of telecommunications services in the national territory, notified this Friday, March 14, 2025 to the Supercable Alk International SA company SA the revocation of administrative titles that authorized it to operate in the country, for violation of user rights.

By virtue of the above, a 60 -day transition period is established, counted from the date of this notification, so that the affected users and users can migrate their services to a new authorized provider.

During this period, Supercable Alk International SA will maintain its operations only to guarantee the right to information and communication of its subscribers.

It should be noted that, within the framework of the administrative process initiated against the company, it was determined that SUPERCABLE INTERNACIONAL SA suspended its telecommunications services without previously notifying the regulatory entity or its users, directly affecting the right to information and the communication of the subscribers.
