Retired teacher dies after falling from a third floor in Puerto La Cruz

A retired teacher, identified as María Crespo González, 64, died on the morning of Monday, March 17 after falling from the third floor of a building in Puerto La Cruz, Anzoátegui state.

The tragic incident occurred in the Paracotos residences of El Grand Maguey, where the victim resided. According to neighbors testimonies, Crespo González fell into the void while cleaning the windows of his apartment.

Immediately after the event, the neighbors helped the woman and alerted the authorities. Civil Protection officials were presented at the scene and transferred it to the IVSS César Rodríguez hospital, located in the Guaraguao sector of the same city. However, unfortunately, the teacher died during the transfer, according to El Tigrense newspaper.

The Medical-Forense report indicated that Crespo González suffered generalized polytrauma and multiple rib fractures as a result of the fall.

María Crespo González was a recognized educator who had held the position of director of the Simoncito of the Pescadores village of Puerto La Cruz, in the Sotillo municipality. The educational community and the residents of the sector deeply regret their death.
