CICPC stops WhatsApp scammer: he captured his victims with the sale of dollars

Officials of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (Cicpc) achieved the arrest of a man who cheated with the sale of dollars through WhatsApp.

The apprehended was identified with the name of Moisés Enrique Villegas Quevedo, 30, age.

How was the modus operandi of the WhatsApp scammer?

His modus operandi was making publications offering currencies to victims affordable prices, capturing the attention of the victims who after carrying out the negotiation and making the payments, the man did not deliver the offered.

His arrest was registered in the 13th Parish Conception Iribarren Lara Municipality, leaving the order of the Superior Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry.

In another fact of fraud, a couple was arrested in the Táchira state for false operations with Zelle.

The apprehended are identified as José Vicente Rojas Uzcátegui (43) and, Oscerly Mileth Salcedo Ramírez (37), caught in the parish La Concordia ..

Rico indicated that the arrest was executed by officials of the Coordination of Crimes against the Property of the San Cristóbal Municipal Delegation.

As for the modus operandi it was learned that the couple made purchases in shops of the entity, informing that they would make the payment through Zelle, sending the alleged vouchers, which were false.

When they were arrested, two cell phones and a vehicle were located; and they were at the order of the Public Ministry.
