An ex -official of the Ministry of Interior (Minint) of Cuba hopes to benefit in the United States with a permanent residence, through the Cuban adjustment law, journalist Mario J. Pentón reported Monday, citing reliable sources, then verified by Martí News.

This is Héctor Alejandro Hernández Morales, 46, who lives in Boca Mouse, in the state of Florida, since August 2024, when he arrived in the United States with a tourism visa to meet with his wife and daughters.

According to information shared by the journalist in his Web pageHernández Morales became a «trusted man of Fidel and Raúl Castro» and his father Lázaro Cirilo Hernández, was bodyguard of the Castro brothers.

«Following the wake of his father, Hernández Morales held positions of responsibility within the Minint, including the Head of the Political Police in the municipality of Morón, Ciego de Ávila, and was assigned to the personal security of high leaders, including Fidel Castro himself,» adds Pentón’s investigation.

Workers of the North Cayería de Ciego de Ávila confirmed to the journalist that Hernández Morales served as a State Security Officer in that important tourist area, also strategic from the military point of view.

Another remarkable case was that of the Cuban former Juana Orquídea Acanda Rodríguezarrested last March at Miami International Airport for omitting information about its affiliation to the Communist Party of Cuba in its visa application.
