Conviasa Vonecta Valera and Porlamar with a new air route as of May 17, 2025

The Venezuelan airline convasa announces the launch of a new aerial connection that will link the cities of Valera, in the Trujillo state, and porlamar, in the Nueva Esparta state, starting on Saturday, May 17, 2025. This new route seeks to strengthen connectivity between the country’s key regions and offer a direct travel option for passengers between these destinations.

Through its social media platforms, Conviasa explained that the Valera-Porlamar route will operate with a frequency of two weekly flights, scheduled for Tuesday and Saturday.

The established itinerary contemplates the departure from the Antonio Nicolás Briceño de Valera airport at 10:00 am, with an estimated arrival time to the General International Airport in Chief Santiago Mariño to porlam at 11:30 am. For the return journey, the takeoff from Porlamar will be done at 12:30 noon, with arrival to Valera at 2:00 pm.

According to the information available on the airline website, the price of the round trip ticket for this new Valera-Porlamar route has an initial cost of 8,209.77 bolivars or $ 88.23 US dollars, calculated according to the current change rate of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).

Passengers who use the new Valera-Porlamar route will be able to transport hand luggage with a maximum weight of 5 kilograms and a billed suitcase of up to 23 kilograms in the aircraft winery, which will be an Embraer E90.

Falcón drives air connectivity for economic growth

In related news, the Governor of the Falcón state, Víctor Clark, announced the implementation of new air routes at the entity’s airports, with the main objective of promoting exports to the Caribbean islands.

During a press conference held last Saturday, Governor Clark stressed the strategy of strengthening air connectivity and commercial ties with the Caribbean as a fundamental way to diversify the sources of foreign exchange and enhance exports of the Falcón state. «The idea is to grow in air connections, grow in relationships with the Caribbean, diversify our sources of currency generation and exports. We have seen the increase at import level but we also want to grow in exports, ”said the president.

Additionally, a meeting was reported between the governor and representatives of various unions and economic, commercial and tourist sectors of the region, with the purpose of discussing and raising concrete strategies for the free zone of the Paraguaná Peninsula, seeking to boost their development and competitiveness at national and international level.
