American Airlines will reduce flights to Cuba during the summer of 2025. This was announced by the airline itself in an official application to the United States Department of Transportation (DOT)

The airline argues a sustained decline in the demand for passengers to the island. The most affected routes will be Miami-La Havana and Miami-Santiago de Cuba.

Reduction of flights between the US and Cuba

American Airlines asked to modify his current temporal exemption to reduce up to three of his eight daily flights between Miami and Havana during the weekends.

In addition, American Airlines will reduce flights to Cuba completely canceling the Miami-Santiago de Cuba route. This will disconnect directly to the second most important city in the country with the United States.
